Assuming that he’s unhappy with his situation, for whatever reason, surely he needs to face up to reality. He is regarded widely as a damn good footballer and up to now sought after by a number of clubs. If the problem is his attitude - I’m assuming RDZ has pinpointed that and as such dropped him - then he really needs to step up and show a bit of backbone. There may also be a confidence issue here so a friendly arm around the shoulder might work - or the kick up the arse, which seems to be the tactic at the moment. Whatever, if Trossard wants to progress, either with the Albion or another club, his best bet is to knuckle down and show us all how good he is. Toys thrown out of the pram is not his best option in the circumstances.
In the real world - yes. In footballing terms he tells his agent, who gets a lot of money from him, to get him out of here and get me a pay rise while you’re at it.

I might be wrong but the way I see it is that Leo probably had this big plan in his head that with Hazard featuring less for Belgium in recent years, the World Cup was this shop window moment where he could be one of the main men & really shine, and off the back of that might earn a top club move in January or the summer. But because of Belgium's poor performances it never really happened for him, & now he's faced with the idea of not garnering much interest from top clubs & his career may not progress in the way he had hoped.
Yeah, something like that. Of course, scoring some goals in January - not sulking - would help all concerned.

Brighton aren't struggling like Belgium....

You'd like to think that the sulker would have been busting a gut to play against Liverpool seeing that Anfield was probably the pinnacle of his season

I was holding out before the world Cup that he might stay, but I'm almost certain he'll leave in January now.
In fairness to him he's 28, he probably has one big contract left and one last chance to play champions league football. If he wants to play CL football now is the time to make the move.
He's been a good player for us, worked hard and been a big part of our progression. I don't begrudge him a move.

Left training before Middlesbrough game with permission and did t tell coaches. Assume he’s played his last game for us unless he seriously bucks his ideas up.

Could he be trying to devalue himself as the bids (if any) may have come in light.

Quite a dangerous game to play if they don’t come back in for you

Didn’t actually have a “calf injury” then for Boro . Ha ha.

(My guess - they’ll work it out)

Was there any suggestion he did?

Today's press conference just reiterates what RDZ said last week, which I posted on this thread on the day itself. In short, he wasn't working hard enough so wasn't playing.

De Zerbi on the absence of Trossard. 'I want more from him - he can work harder, he can run more on the pitch, and I want players who give 100% in every training session and every game. Without these characteristics, then they can’t play with me.'

An Arsenal fan I know alerted me to ITK info about chasing Tross, I then got a similar message from a Newcastle fan.

My guess is that his agent has been busy trying to get him a move. RDZ wants Tross to be ‘in the right way’.

Well, that’s not going to happen in January whilst there is a possibility of a move. I’m still hopeful of £35m-£40m. Good business for us if he does not want to be here anymore. A move abroad would be best.

Good, I like a strong manager Maupay sulked and Potter didn’t seem to deal with the situation.
What ? He dealt with Maupay by dropping him multiple times and explaining why. Likewise Ryan, and Bissouma towards the end

Good player, but hughly inconsistent and probably not as good as he thinks.
Hope he goes somewhere other then the premier league
