Over a period of time I have put together a log of all the grounds and teams I have seen away from home since that visit to Watford in February 1984. Compared to some others on here it probably isn't that impressive.

I've done it gradually over time and it is done which much thanks to the Soccerbase pages. I've put my stats below.

Don't make this a big fan competition, but if some have their own stats it would be great to see. Especially the places you have been the most. It's incredible to think I traveled so much back in the day. Most of my outings were in the 80s and early 90s

Goodness gracious me, that's almost anorak status in the way you have recorded them. My travelling almost mirrors yours time wise, my first away game being in the 1985/86 season and the majority of my awayy days took place in the late 80's and 90's

I certainly haven't listed them with anything like the same detail, but ticking them off as l visited them, l have seen the Albion at 63 different grounds around the country.

I love details ! I think quite a few folk are well in the 100s with grounds. It's the most visited ones that I'm interested in. It will be a reflection of the time. I've been to Hartlepool twice but never been to Arsenal...

I've done 106. From Aldershot in 1964 to Forest Green in 2022. That includes all our home grounds. Biggest miss was the Millenium Stadium because I won a holiday in Greece at the same time (bad fan)

Most visited grounds (away) : St Andrews & King Power (11 each)
Most visited club: Leicester City (19)

Best records : Undefeated at Molineux and London Road (Peterborough)

Love it. Sort of response I was hoping for. I was trying to work out the Leicester City and Birmingham City stat. Then I saw you were based in Warwicks.

I’ve done about 135 grounds but around 50 have been overseas. Big cricket and rugby fan so about 75 for that as well, plus as a football anorak been to over 100 grounds just to look around without a game on.

Family links means that apart from Albion the ground I too have been to the most is St Andrew’s.

I think I'm in my 80s when it comes to away grounds, many of them now non-league. I am nowhere NEAR as forensic as the OP though, I wish I was. Pretty sure Craven Cottage is my most visited.

70+ grounds (40-50 of them as a yoof coach) in Sweden... arguably a fair number of them barely qualify for however "grounds" could be defined.
15+ in Germany
Around 15 in the Netherlands
Somewhere around 15 in other various countries.

Most visited is Smörlyckans IP where I coached kids for 3-4 days a week for like 5 years. Then Klostergårdens IP where the best team in Lund play... and probably Malmö Stadion and the newer Swedbank Arena on shared third place with 20+ visists. Bet you've never been to those!

Top, top anoraking.

I’d need something like soccerbase to work it out but off the top of my head I’d be at somewhere between 60 and 70 grounds in England. Almost certain that my most visited would either be Craven Cottage or Smellhurst.

As for win record, Mollineux would be hard to beat; P2 W2 F7 A4

Now that teams are regularly changing ground and moving in and out of the league, how does one do the 92 now? Does any ground old or new count? Do they have to be in the league now or when you visited.

As examples, I did Chester and Darlington with Brighton in league games but both at old grounds and both are now National League North

If a team gets a new ground, you have to visit it to count towards the 92. Strangely, this doesn't include places like Molyneux as they are on the same site.

Members of the 92 have to keep updating each year - Chester and Darlington (and Hereford) no longer count.

Agree - I’ve recently done AFC Wimbledon- fourth different ground to see them but one grounds won’t count towards the 92

I’m not sure I have the time and inclination to put together such an in depth report. I do keep my Footballgroundmap.com account up to date, which currently reads 152 football grounds visited (to watch football) and 76 of the current 92. There are non league grounds in there and some Scottish, and a few overseas from places such as France, Cyprus and Australia. Many of the missing from the 92 are teams that have been promoted into the FL in recent years such as Sutton, Arrington Stanley, Salford, Barrow etc. the only one in the PL I am missing is St James Park, it seems to evade me every season, and will do again this season.

I have been to a few grounds in Sweden - both of the Malmo grounds (the older one in Euro 92) and the new one in Stockholm when it was officially opened and Ibrahimovic scored that amazing goal against England. Been to also to a women’s game in Umea and also the one in Gothenburg but just to look around.

Tele2 Arena (home of Djurgården and Hammarby) or Friends Arena (the national stadium/home of AIK)?

I was at the latter when it was recently opened... such a shitty experience compared to the old Råsunda-stadion. Got a massive headache from the poor acoustics. Might be better now but not eager to return there.

Yes it's a strange anomaly isn't it? l have visited many of the grounds at the top end of the country, inc. Hartlepool, Casrisle, Sunderland & Middlebrough, some more than once, yet have never been to the likes of the Valley and Brisbane Road.

Boundary Park Oldham l have visited on five seperate occasions, joint top with the Baseball Ground/Pride Park, and the Den/New Den.
