This may well be linked to Huw Merriman (former chair of Transport Select Committee and someone who actually has some understanding of transport) being appointed Rail Minister. He's also a Sussex MP (Bexhill and Battle).

How do 3,000 people go about cancelling their coach tickets?

Great news! I had planned to drive to Wolves tomorrow, but would much prefer to get the train.

Chiltern railways website is still showing industrial action (last updated 29.10.22).

I might try later this evening to see if I can book a ticket for tomorrow. At the moment I can book to get there, it's just coming back its saying can only book for Sunday morning.

As of now nothing has come through on my work email. It'll take time for journey planners to be updated but as far as I'm aware plans are made for both strike action and normal running so it should hopefully be a case of uploading the other plan.

Tim Shoveller, Network Rail's chief negotiator, welcomed the news but said: "The very late notice means that services for tomorrow cannot be reinstated and will remain extremely limited, and while we, and our train company partners, will work without pause over the weekend, there will be limited ability to change the 'strike timetable' for Monday."
