I would never under-estimate the amount of space he creates for other players because he is marked quite
heavily freeing up space in other parts of the park. I think he's a great player for that alone.

As suspected, this dawg has slowly started to get some angry words against him for his lack of goals.

He's not a goal scorer. Never has been. Give Maupay and Welbeck equally good chances and Maupay will likely score more goals.

But his running and his hold up play is excellent. Reads the game like a boss. Involved in all the Brighton goals today.

Not a prolific goalscorer meaning his contribution to the team is underrated by untrained eyes.

A lesser ‘keeper than Allison and he’d have scored today.

Honestly not bothered about Welbeck not scoring. This is a bit of an oversimplification, but only a bit: Maupay failed to score because he was fluffing chances, Welbeck fails to score because he's creating chances.

It is incredible that we are well into October and not a single recognised striker has scored in the league yet. Must be some kind of record

Welbeck has been brilliant and makes such a difference to our attacking danger but it is reasonable to be disappointed he has temporarily lost his scoring touch imo.

I think that’s fair, but equally his input in terms of assists isn’t to be underestimated.

I would have backed Undav to finish both of the chances he missed yesterday, but would not be as confident that Undav would have been as involved in the goals.

Indeed, if he could just add a few more goals to his game, l would give hin an outside chance of going to Qatar next month.

If Mr. Southgate would ever consider picking a Brighton player for his squad that is.

It's a tricky one.

Very very good outside the box, not so good in it.

The way I see it, as long as the team are scoring and he's contributing to the build up play he's doing his job for us.

It is the 2nd today and we last played on the 1st October - I think well into is pushing it a bit

He is going to score some goals soon. Getting great positions. He would love them to come against spurs!

0% chance he goes to WC. This thing about it only being beccause Southgate won’t pick a Brighton player is childish. He needs a striker who scores goals, Danny doesn’t do that. And he had a brilliant chance yesterday and fluffed it but that has been glossed over.

I did say, IF he could add a few more goals to his game! Ivan Toney seems to be Southgate's new blue eyed boy now and he does have goalscoring in his locker.
