Trossard and Mac were clear standouts IMO but I think real credit must go to Solly who regularly gets maligned by many people but he has been really consistent since the back end of last season, and I just wanted to congratulate him on his overall performances. We are talking Premier League after all. Yes it would be great if he could score a few more but credit where it's due. Keep it up Solly.

We were also pressing like mad yesterday to make the most of Leicester's fragility. This over-exposed the back 4/5 but that was obviously deemed a risk worth taking, and it worked. I highly doubt we'd be that gung-ho with better teams..

For those criticizing Dunk, let's not forget he was out of position because Webster played a long crossfield ball that got intercepted.

And TBF it was a pretty special pass from Tielemans, not just a hopeful hoof forward.

I just don't think it was Dunk, (or Webster, who is encouraged to try these passes which have an inherent risk). The goal came from one of the best passes you'll see by Tielemans. It was just over Dunky. Nothing wrong with his starting position, he tried to get back, but couldn't reach. I don't see that goal as one where you'd need someone to blame. Goals will be conceded in this league. To me, that was a goal of huge quality.

If anything, I will bet this morning that the coaches and the players are reviewing the first goal as the one where one or two lessons might be learned. Again, no blame culture needed, but one where a couple of bits might be tightened up on for future.

This…….the CBs were a bit exposed by our tactics, but was a gamble Potter thought was worth taking. He was right.

Agree.

Webster made a bad pass, just like everyone else did at some point and another. Only difference is that the time Webster did it, Leicester used the situation. That does not make his pass worse than any other failed pass during the game. And then Tielemans showed why he is a good player and, while he probably could have done a little bit better in the situation, Dunk is not the first or last to struggle with Dakas pace.

Was a good goal, the first was worse.

Why because somebody gives an opinion on a player are they a hater. I often give an opinion that Solly does not do enough quality in the attacking half and still hold that view but not a hater. We are good at the moment because we are a very good unit and the way we play Solly very much part of this mainly in his outstanding defensive work. Saturday was typical with very few attacks on Solly side. Most attacks came on other side because Trossards strength is not defending.. Although I must say Solly gets more help in defendind out wide from Veltman than our LWB gets from Webster or Dunk

Agree we're mostly successful as a unit but our left and right side attack stats this season are almost identical (R38% and L39%) - if only he could finish better.................

Because Solly’s targeted after Albion wins, almost every game, when ex player pundits are praising him and he’s been integral to great team performances.

The tiny number doing that, in those circumstances, must have an irrational vendetta. Unable to enjoy a great team performance and result, with a weekly running commentary on Solly’s “failings”. So miserable, so wrong.

Defending the flanks …. it’s a team effort …. Veltman and Solly naturally are both tenacious and good at it, they dovetail perfectly. You can bet that Veltman loves playing with Solly. Solly had this strength long before Veltman arrived, in the famous ‘Andone’ game against CP, Solly did a brilliant job on Haha when we played with 10 men.

When the time and budget comes to upgrade on Solly, we’ll all get behind the new player. Problem is that top flight injury-free scoring wide players are short on supply. Dan James was mentioned on nsc in the past, last week Estupian owned him. My instinct is that Solly will be a key part of our first team squad for a long time to come. Which is great news for the vast numbers singing his name every week.
