He wasn't 'getting involved'- it was a private comment. It's not as though he said it at a public event or anything. If you can't tell the difference, then I don't even know where to start...

And why even start this thread?

Then you are being very naive, he has a history of saying things in “private” that “come out”,

I have no interest in having Kudos and you are very much a Leftie aren’t you?

Nope. I have voted for all three major parties in my lifetime. You see, you’ve just proved you jump to conclusions without much thought.

Quite amusing seeing the sort of people who usually bang on about free speech and the evils of “cancel culture” trying to gag the future King, to be fair.

Quite amusing to see the sort of people who usually bang on about democracy got no problems about the royal family getting involved in politics.

Would I be jumping to conclusions in suggesting you have voted Labour since Maggie Thatcher came to power?

Thing is, if you were really against the policy you wouldn't have started this thread.

Wrong, I started the thread because our current Monarch would never have been as dumb as Charles has been, and in truth I think he will be a liability as King.

I am 100% against sending refugees to Rwanda but then I am just a citizen not the future King.

Aren’t the British royal family part of the global conspiracy, the Illuminati, against homo sapiens?

Irrelevant.

The point is that a royal family having political influence in a country is some proper third world shit that people in various countries fought long and hard to get rid of.

I vote for the candidate rather than the party.

Nice side step, so would I be jumping to conclusions in thinking none of them have been Tories since Thatcher became PM?

Binfest. Usual repetition in this thread. Get this **** off the main board, it lowers the tone.

Yes, you would. I voted Tory in 2015 to get rid of Norman Baker. I thought a young nurse would be ideal in Parliament. I didn’t realise she was just a useful puppet.

Fair enough

He hasn’t caused a constitutional crisis, and who would monitor him.

Blame the snitch who ran to. Murdoch paper with tittle tattle. Murdoch isn’t content with getting us out of Europe, he hates the monarchy too. Evil ma.

Then Charles lesson is choose your friends more carefully or keep quiet…

Thankfully, living here, Charles has zero real influence. The Queen expertly steered clear of politics, of party politics. One of the reasons she’s widely respected. Charles has a blood lust for chasing wildlife to death for fun and 20 years ago wrote a series of letters to PM Tony Blair to try to stop the proposed ban on tearing wildlife apart for fun. Showing the selfish, unknowing character of the coward.

This thread is descending into ad hominem attacks based on who people have voted for in the past. I'm not sure why.

It began with the question 'Should Prince Charles be speaking out about the Rwanda deportations?'

My view is that the policy of sending illegal immigrants to Rwanda is so abhorrent, misguided and ill-considered, that we should ALL be speaking out about it, whether we are royal or not.

Prince Charles has a voice, needs to be heard, and it is not for someone on here to try and shut him down. He has my full support.

 I don’t agree with your last sentence but you have answered the question I asked

So as a commoner, I am free to voice my opinion, but Prince Charles, as a member of the royal family, isn't? Is that your point? I don't recall Charles signing up for that when he was born.
