Wow. Brilliant game by us until the last 5 minutes plus injury time. We deteriorated into a kids side kicking it anywhere.

Still turned out nice again ! :albion2:

Bit nervy at the end - we never do it the easy way, of course - but job done!

This. We/I needed this. Maybe other good results coming our way.

So happy with that - we needed a win so badly and deserved it imo. All the naysayers betting on us to go down can once again get back in their box.

Mwepu at right back?
A wild Caicedo appears.
I’ll just say before we get the thrashing most expect that I have no problem with that starting 11

I'm going to file that team selection under "interesting".

I'll tell you what that actually means at about 4.55.
What in the holy **** is THAT?

Oh god oh god oh god. I'm getting a pint.
Hang on a minute he's only just picked the team

“How many midfielders do you want, Graham?”

“Yes.”

For those who may not have been completely convinced by GP's selection (and I may not have been completely convinced myself )

It turns out it was Genius

I'm now wondering whether we need MORE midfielders next match

Lots of talk about the famous Arsenal 'refereeing conspiracy' on their subreddit, one of them is even going to complain to the FA over their disallowed goal :moo:

Nobody does meltdowns quite like the Gooners.

Welbeck didn't do much this game. I doubt the result would have been different if Maupay and Welbeck are swapped in the starting line up.

The difference was a midfield that looked motivated and disciplined. Mwepu set the tempo, Caicedo looked bright and Trossard actually played quite well too.

And no March. Sadly, as he seems a nice chap who’s always wholehearted, but I always think we look stronger without him. Same true of Duffy.
