Attacking football with end products…. Goals

And

A stadium bouncing…..

Where have we gone wrong.

Generally in this country the latter is because of the former... we've had **** all to bounce about for so long at the Amex.

You can only laugh at how our season's imploded as theirs has rocketed - so typical, but life's too short to care that much

Not unless you think there's some sort of historic rivalry between us and them ........................

Clearly I've mellowed . . . . In the grand scheme the rivalry is not old and has fizzled a lot since the early 90's as a generation never even saw the two teams play

Either way, in the here and now its another bar Hairy Porter can't get over.

But finishing and winning is really what its all about and we have forgotten that - just cast your minds back to playing football in the school yard ( in my time it was all tarmac) and you played with a tennis ball as you couldn't afford a proper football. Personally I was crap but it was about getting it (the ball) quickly (not necessarily nicely) to the person in front of the goal who would invariably score....

No it’s not

Nothing matters apart from staying in the premier league

Most brighton fans on social media will tell you that

Anyway after my company went west and the shite home record, after 46 years I am finally out and my ST will go back to the club

It’s been a blast on the whole but I can’t justify getting home annoyed and frustrated anymore

Dave the gaffer out!!!

This.

That was some performance.

I’ll hold my hands up, I thought he’d lost his way earlier this season, boy was I wrong.

(And yes he did fall over in the penalty area. I’d have booked him for simulation)

Next year man...

Next year... is 2023. Really all I have to say about it.

If I was Palace (shivers) I’d be wanting Arsenal to finish 4th, Arteta won’t last if they don’t, and you know who all the Arsenal fans/media will be turning their attention to then……..

We were after Mateta weren’t we. Would’ve certainly offered something different. Gallagher is becoming a brilliant player, which is good because no chance he isn’t going back to Chelsea after the season he’s had.

I for one will be looking through my fingers at the game from the away end on Saturday, like a young kid watching Dr Who (when it was scarey) from behind the sofa

Palace seem to have a very different ‘type’ of player, especially in midfield and up front, that they target for recruitment. Strong, athletic, direct, bit of pace. We seem to go for technical, versatile types. It’s worth remembering we played them off the park a few times not so long ago (albeit without winning), but right now, it feels like we need to focus our recruitment in the summer on upping our pace and power.

Freeman knows what he's doing, buy strong quick players with experience of British football,
Not cheap, but effective.
Parish knows what it costs to get and keep those sort of players and prioritises that over anything else.
It works.

Sort of see your point but Eze, Zaha,Hughes, olise , Riedewald are all pretty versatile all except Riedewald can play upfront or midfield and are all pretty technical.

The thing that separates the teams is “drive” palace teams at the moment when looking to attack drive forward quickly, the Brighton team slow the pace down and keep hold of the ball and looks for the extra pass. But unless you can do this quickly with quick feet and off the ball running it just allows the defence to regroup and defend in numbers.

yeah agreed, but you are misunderstanding the Brighton usage of this phrase. just translates to slow.

Sorry, what, pardon ! What’s that got to do with any of this ?

Yes FDB signed Riedewald 5 years ago but I truly don’t know what that comment is meant to mean ?

Nothing more than that I would like him to return to Palace. Riedewald is probably the best argument why you would do that.
