On the back of that (it was Stat Brother who started it so I recall) whenever I watch a TV game with my old pal Bob, I carefully select a player about whom, during the second half, I can comment "He's not having a great game, but he does have lovely hair". It is a tribute and homage to the memory of Mr Propper .

A one-off decent hairdo can be fluked.
It was the range of superb hairstyles that set Propper apart.

I always had a feeling he didn’t really enjoy being as good at football as he was.

Brave decision and best of luck.

In old money I think you would describe him as a cultured player.

Watching our midfield evolve from Oatway to Propper is like watching man evolve from Neanderthal to Homo Sapiens.

Massive part of our early seasons in the PL, added a touch of class to the midfield. Shame he's fallen out of love with the game, hope he's OK.

A brave and honest decision. I really enjoyed having him at the club and the style of this decision shows he was a good egg I think. Good luck to him.

A sunday league side in Arnhem may well hit gold as I'm sure he'll still fancy a kick about.

Not if, as he says, he has fallen out of love with football he won't!

Never really offered much for us but wish him luck

Bizarre. Class player for us.

I guess you must be one of the "GET IT FORWARD, THAT'S WHERE THE GOAL IS" merchants.

Except that Homo Sapiens didn't evolve from Neanderthals. Evidence suggests that they shared a common ancestor and evolved in parallel (or so I believe).

This is definitely NOT true of Charlie Oatway and Davy Propper

Apologies for my poetic licence. I have fixed the analogy to be consistent with the facts as they are accepted in the scientific community:

Watching the Albion midfield evolve from Oatway to Propper is like watching man evolve from Ardipithicines Ardipithecus to Homo Sapiens

There are footballers out there who do not like football including Ben White.

https://www.planetfootball.com/quic...-really-like-football-white-tevez-ronaldinho/

Sorry, but whether you are being deliberately disingenuous, or just didn't actually read the article, that is an absolutely terrible take on what Ben White actually said:

Ben White said:
I didn’t ever watch football when I was younger. I still don’t now. I just loved the game, I was always playing it, never watching.

Thank you. I feel much better now.

Mr A. P. Edant.
