[Albion] Why did the boos happen and/or who was targeted?

This exactly (and I didn't boo - but I wasn't surprised). We smashed yet another team not worthy to lace our collective boots and came away with a draw. We KNOW this side is good and they should be even higher in the league. It's so damn frustrating to watch (and must be to play).
Booing is not the answer - tho it was for a handful - but I predicted it and wasn't surprised. I am surprised by GPs reaction though - it's football, and in 31,000 people you will get some knobs.
PS Please share this poll with the club. Surely GP and the team understand this?

For history, perhaps GP might want to read up about Mike Bailey leading us to our highest league position but being about as popular as a bottle of scotch at an AA meeting.
I've posted earlier in the thread that booing never has or will be for me as it is counter productive but I find the "Remember Gillingham" crowd worse. I'm sure Man City won't participate in a good boing at some point just because they were 2-0 down to Gillingham in a league 1 play off final or it will stop Chelsea fans if we remind them they were relegated in the 80s. To be judged by Withdean standards I suggest we play with some of the shit strikers from that era like Glenn Murray, Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes and see how we get on.

Maybe but you cannot blame Potter for Maupay missing 2 absolute sitters.

You can’t although surely every manager would get off the hook by saying not my fault my strikers don’t score. It’s way to simplistic.
Does that mean that there was quite a few who really, really liked him?
My dad used to go to AA a lot and he said after most meetings most of them went to the pub. I don't know how common that was in the 80/90.

Pretty sure it will be down to lack of progress up front and frustration with Maupay, IMO the later has never been good enough and never will for the premiership his ball control at times is appalling, would rather see Sarmiento develop into the role than go again same as, if its not sorted in Jan then we will not progress and our position ATM just gave everyone that little bit of false hope, we only need a strike force for top ten so nearly job done but still frustrating, I don't go anymore for health reasons and also the fact I just don't enjoy the Amex like dare I say the Withdean or the Goldstone, I wouldn't have been booing but wouldn't have been happy we are still trying to get something out of Maupay.

It is that simple. A capable striker would have put those away even if Donald Duck was manager.
Potter did his job, tight defence and chances aplenty. The team did their job.
There are some things you cannot blame the manager for. Albion have every ingredient- except a striker who knows where the net is.
Same for many sides.

I admit, I booed at the end. Booed out of frustration and yet again our failure to sign striker who can finish, is costing us again. We are having a very good season, but the fact we havent addressed the glaring problem up front is so so annoying.
GP acted like a baby at the end saying that. I don't think he gets that 99% of fans know how good we are as a team, they are just annoyed at the club not acting on the striker problem.
