This is starting to feel like one of those 'do you remember when...' Albion moments that we can look back on in years to come.

Very happy for our kids who missed out on '83 and the Goldstone, but are now having their own Albion soundtrack to their lives recorded.

‘Were you at Selhurst when substitute DJ Jurgen smashed that curling 25 yarder into top bins for the 4-3 96th minute winner that put little old BHA top of the EPL ?’

Been a fan since 1964 but not a huge fan of the "We were sticking jumpers down for goalposts and clearing dogshit off the pitch only x years ago" type posts but have to admit this would be quite emotional.

Got a call from my Mum and shed a tear that my team, my lifelong team, could go top on merit rather than alphabetical.

Well, quite.

Just the chance to be the top side in the country for a few days would be enough for me.

But with the Albion, it's as much about the journey to get here as the destination.

We've come a long way together.

IF this happens only one more thing to tick, to see us play in Europe. All ready resigned myself we won't win anything in my lifetime. A major trophy that is.

I drove past Edgar Street on my way home from holiday today, and was stuck in a queue so spent about 5 minutes right by the away end - just doing that made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Quite something if we go top on Monday.

To beat Palace at Palace to go top of the premier League. Money can't buy a better feeling than that.

I was undecided but think, on balance, it’s probably worth watching now!

What's gonna be more surprising:-

Top of the Premier League, on merit?

Or

Winning at the Stad du Clad.
