Just how much would you be willing to pay to sign him, then keep him here for a couple of seasons and specifically where is the increased revenue to cover this outlay/commitment coming from?
An additional 1,000 on the gate @ £30 for all 23 weeks might net £500k but this assumes adult match-day pricing for all; in practice the figure will probably be more like £400k per thousand (El Pres figures). You could then pay the player £7k/pw but that's before factoring in any registration/signing on fees, pension contributions etc.

Add on 2500-5000 shirt/kit sales with printing.
Food and drink from the 1000 extra visitors over 23 games.

That should help a bit.

So the club sells 5,000 BZ shirts making maybe £20 each after VAT? Assuming there's no impact on sales of other player shirts that's £100k net spread over two seasons - equates to an additional £850k/pw for BZ so we'd still be paying him less than £8k/pw.
Money from sales at the food/drink outlets goes to the Caterers not BHA.

There is no way shirt sales would be that high. Can you really see 10% of our crowd wearing a home top or 20% with the higher figure?

You're in dream world pal....this is an ageing Zamora not a youthful messi???
He will not generate this sort of boom and we've had bridge,Vicente etc at the club recently.

Really need to move on with Bobby - 34yrs old, injury prone and we already have Honved in now plus we still have Cog unfortunately - absolutely no way would I want to spend 20k plus a week on wages for him

Come on Bobby. You've already missed the Tignes jolly.

Ok

What if we pay him £12k a week? (seeing as none of us know what his wage demands are or would be)

For what its worth. Bobby just came through lgw. Said he really wants to come back on a pay as you play deal. Doesn't want to go anywhere else but hughton's dragging his heels over the deal.
