Leeds. Since the 70's and because the last time we played them, their supporters reinforced every bad opinion.I held about them.

Southampton and Portsmouth. Two cheeks, same arse, curious, strange, chippy, support. Like lifting a rock and finding an odd community underneath.

By extension, Hampshire CCC. Hate it when they visit Hove. Southampton and Portsmouth fans nominally supporting the same side until they fall out with each other.

Celtic. Lots of reasons but chucking tear gas into the terrace at Easter Road is the main one.

Pontypridd RFC. A lot of their support appear to have serious anger management issues.

Can't say I care much for Liverpool, West Ham, Palace or Hearts but don't dislike them as much as the top 6

Bloody Worthing!
1. Millwall (first team I ever saw play the Albion in the early 60s and their supporters were vile then and have been ever since)
2. Leeds (sense of entitlement and Don Revie)
3. Bognor (jealousy plus local rivalry with Worthing)
4./5. Old Firm (just horrible)
6.West Ham (fans, pornographers as owners and new stadium)
7. Wales (football) (Robbie Savage)
8. Wales (rugby union) (they hate they English)
9. USA Basketball team (arrogance)
10. Aussies (cricket) (where to start?)

With a dishonourable mention for Wimbledon FC in their 'crazy gang' era.

Whats wierd for me is that Liverpool would have been my "second" team as a kid ('70s) watching them in European finals and Man Utd would have topped this list easily - to the point that I quietly wanted Palace to beat them in the Cup Final in 1989 or 90 whenever it was! Not sure when it turned around so dramatically but the Club stuff above is pretty much "fan" driven. The countries are the teams that I just want to lose every time I watch them and struggle when they play each other! Argentina may come off if Ally Mac gets in!

Temporary deletion from my list for LUFC will be re-imposed wef. season end when Ben White finishes up there..

So we were able to help them get up and now, with BW returning, we will be giving them a kick in the goolies ! :amex:

Otherwise not too different from the majority view !

Man Utd - for 50 years
Leeds - I went in to the 1965 (?) cup final wanting Leeds to win, and came out of it as a Liverpool fan, realising as a 12 year old that Leeds were ...... dirty.
Burnley - although I have a number of very good friends who come from there and are loyal - two of them in their 80s
Bournemouth - since going there for an away match in 1972 - and working there in the late ‘70s.
Middlesbrough
Cardiff
Millwall

No one else really. I pay lip service to the Palace thing, but not really bothered about it.

I watched the 65 final a few times, even now, it's exactly as you describe. The more experienced team at that stage playing quality football, getting their Achilles's kicked from start to finish.

Interesting to me that you went to cup final 55 years ago!

Hmmm, have given this a lot of thought, probably way too much. From English domestic leagues only. (Sorry Scotland)

1- Palace
2- Villa
3- Portsmouth
4- Man U
5- Leicester
6- Sheff W
7- Burnley
8- Norwich
9- Chesterfield
10- Leeds
With several others in contention.

(Didn't include MK Dons as I refuse to view them as a football club. Should you wish to, insert them in 3rd and move everyone else down one!)

When I said “went in to”, I meant started watching it rather than entered the stadium. Sorry if it misled. That was in the days when the FA cup final was one of the very very few live games on TV.

Glad to have my 55 year old view of the match confirmed, though!👍

Either because they're pompous self-entitled wankers with the 'best fans in the world' or they're from shit-holes...work out which :) (Sometimes a full-house)
