there's a guy called Paul Kerr who does tons of work for the young seagulls - all voluntary and most of it unseen and without any thanks. Hicks took a lot of undeserved plaudits for the success of the Junior Seagulls and was eventually found out (allegedly), however it was the likes of Paul who kept it going.

he also organises the ball boys meaning he's at Withers from 1pm until about 6pm on match days, all this after spending half the week on the phone making sure there are enough ball boys. He also runs the coaches to away matches, often spending hours on the phone.

He also used to run supporters coaches to Gham so he's no Johnny Come Lately
