Are you shitting me?

Surely you can't count greatest hits albums?

I have to say i'm with THPP for once. I have hundreds of CD's but I can honestly say I don't believe there's a single one of them that I would say I liked every track. There's plenty of albums where I wouldn't feel the need to hit the skip button, Nevermind, The Bends, Whatever People Say I Am, Mezaninne, Black Holes & Revelations to name just a few but even on those classics there's always at least one or two tracks that i feel are below the standard of the rest of the album

Yes. I agree. Albums that all tracks are 100% are as rare as rocking horse shit. But having started listening to music at La discotheque and The scene where Northern Soul got the inspiration from (cos they couldn't get to London) Grown up with The Who and then the Beatles, Led Zeplin, Jimmy Hendrix on the Isle of Wight and many others, all heard live. Maybe I've been spoilt. Still stand by Eyes Open Though. :dunce:

There's been a fair few, but the latest would be...Flying Club Cup - Beirut.

Absolute peach of an album !
They've released videos for every track too, and they're superb as well. Here's the opener.

How about one I bought Christmas Eve - Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. It's a best of compilation that really brings home how much influence the band had in Motown and Northern Soul. I never knew that they wrote the original "Sun ain't gonna shine anymore" and the Bay City Rollers hit "Bye Bye Baby".

Also been listening to Grace Jones - The Compass Point Sessions. I've posted about this album on NSP so won't go into it here. Suffice to say it blows me away how good it is.

EDIT - loads of albums in the past have hit the spot:

Carole King - Tapestry
Beth Orton - TrailerPark
Portishead - Dummy
Blondie - Parallel Lines
New Order - Substance
Radiohead - The Bends
Stone Roses - Stone Roses
Everything but the Girl - Walking Wounded
Apollo 440 - Electroglide in Blue
Rolling Stones - Exile On Main Street
Beatles - Abbey Road
Sugarcubes - Life's too good
Squeeze - 45s and under
Black - Wonderful Life
Nick Cave - Murtder Ballads
Happy Monday - Pills, thrills and Bellyaches
Smiths - Strangeways, here I come.

Christ....there's loads. Come on THPP. Get thinking

I love the EDEN album by EVERYTHING BUT THE GIRL. Only have it on cassette though and never got around to getting it on vinyl or CD.

I might have to get my mits on this Stone Roses album. I've heard quite a lot of their songs but never bothered with their albums.
