It's arriving here in the next few hours (low of -13C tonight). Do you want me to send some over?

Don't worry - we can't afford the carbon footprint. We're getting frost tomorrow night!

I'm the same.

Also hate it getting dark early. So any chance this Global Warming Malarky can Chand that for us as well

Unless it forces us to migrate, it can't.

I'd take wind and rain over snow and ice thankyou very much.
Good stuff
My bananas, cycads and tree ferns don't suffer
Bad stuff
Slugs and snails overwinter more successfully

I'm sure that when I was a youngster growing up in Brighton in the late 70's and early 80's that winters were much colder, went on for longer and were also much snowier but I wonder if this really was the case or whether I'm just fondly looking back through snow tinted spectacles!

My Facebook memory reminded me we had some snow in January 2018.

If the ice sheets in the Northern Hemisphere melt, its mass will reduce meaning a gradual change to the Earth’s tilt.

This could, in time, alter our seasons and hours of daylight.

I suppose it's possible, but negligible and would take a VERY long time.

Thanks for the update. No chance in it happening before 1st February ? I've got a night out planned for that night

According to NASA, it would make the day 2 milliseconds longer...

I have noticed that every year the days start geting longer after Chritsmas, and it starts to get warmer. Then it can get very warm, but after that the days get shorter and the leaves fall off the trees. Really strange this. Happens practically every year

Did he really say that global warming changes the day length? ???:laugh::wrong::tosser:

Christ, no wonder we voted to leave the EU. People probably thought it would make us taller and more attractive.

My fault. I bought a windscreen protector, not had a single frost since... Stupid thing still in its wrapper on the back seat.
Please keep it there until at least June.
