We played well, gave them a good game and conceded three VERY sloppy goals from a defensive point of view. Gus won't be happy with that and rightly so.

Outclassed? Don't be silly.

Absolutely THIS. Can't remember conceding 3 softer goals.Gus will sort it and we were GOOD going forward against one of the top 6 clubs in the country. At the end of the day, no points were lost!

How pathetic. People disagree with you and you delete your post through fear of ridicule. Get a backbone.

Agree with Bristol on this one. Fundamentally this is a football forum supporting the Albion. We should exchange opinions. No one will ever be 100% right or wrong!

We never outclassed Spurs. They were just slow off the starting blocks. But all three goal were down to unforced defensive errors, and that's not good, unless we are planning on being promoted a la Peterboro by scoring 100 goals and conceding 99. Still time to buy a proper defence Gus.

Clearly!

The strikers are pretty close to excellent, the midfield well drilled and unflustered for the most part, but as Spurs got anywhere near our keepers things got decidedly hair-raising. Dodgy keeper should have been Gomez, but it turned out to be ours

All over them for half an hour. And when Lua Lua levelled, looked like we had the chance to make a real game of it and possibly win. The howler knocked the stuffing out of us. Great effort though and very promising going forward. Still thought that when we were chasing the game towards the end, a proven striker with aerial presence would have been a great help.

The thing is that we allowed them back into a game which we were very much in control of, by gifting the two goals, so NO I don't think you should necessarily deride the OP.

The third gift just defies contempt.

I don't think it was anything to do with us, they just started trying a bit harder. The gulf in class was obvious.
