It is tight though and IF we were to win we would go up a good few places and could breathe more easily before the break. We are quite simply missing Ulloa. He would have scored a few by now and we would have been comfortably mid table the way we have been playing.

We are not playing badly but the further we get into the season, the more I realise that we don't have midfielders or strikers that can score goals. I'm always a bit of a pessimist but I can realistically see us going down.

With the squad as it is for sure. We do need that one reasonable quality player up front. What we do have are triers who are not really up to it. One cannot fault their effort but is the application and result which is not there.

it will come

Yes, but Billy Paynter scored 29 goals in a season once.

He's had one half decent (it wasn't even that impressive) season, on the contrary you could ask Wednesday fans their opinions, it was no mystery why they let him go out on loan. Saying that Colunga and CMS have looked no better this season.

Our performance so far belies our league position.

How do you work that out?

League table never lies. You're as good as where you are at any given time, simple as that. That's why you have league tables - it's not an ice skating competition with judges involved you know.

Reasonably optimistic for second half - KLL can come on and make something happen

Thanks Greens :(
We are nearly a quarter of the way through what will be a long hard season, and injuries and suspensions will start to kick in. If we are nicking 0-0's now, how are we going to fare further into the season?

It doesn't look as if what goes on in the upper echelons of this league is going to be of much interest to us for a while.

only that we will pass them on the way up :O

Reckon we are going to have to rely on midfielders and defenders for a goal. Banjos and cow's arses spring to mind when thinking of any of our four forwards.
