Can't say I do. Although I did raise my glass to the screen in a "cheers" gesture at The Elephant Man, when he laid down in bed and broke his neck.

Its cleverly shot, you dont see any, but the acting and sound effects had me squirming in me seat, no walk outs, a lot of stunned faces though.

Standard animation tale with cute animals and silly voices and some amusing scenes.

Be Cool

Sky premiere featuring John Travolta, Uma Thurman, James Woods, Danny de Vito, Vince Vaughn, Harvey Keitel, The Rock and Aerosmith. Despite the stella cast, this sequal to Get Shorty was largely disappointing. A few chucklesome moments, and The Rock is mildly amusing as an insecure gay bodyguard, but overall the experience was rather like a game of squash. You think it'll be good fun, but it turns out to be quite disappointing and before long it actually becomes rather tiresome.

This underperformed at the box office but is fresh and always interesting with good turns from Fiennes, Bassett and wild man Sizemore and Lewis looks fecking hot in a tiny biniki and roller skates.

Well worth a look if you have not seen it

Devils Advocate

Keanu Reeves plays a small town defence lawyer who is lured by Al Pacino to a powerful law firm in New York off the back of his outstanding track record in the courtroom, but all is not as it may seem...
Hugely entertaining film, with an outstandingly over-the-top performance by Pacino, clearly revelling in his demonic role. Excellent performance also by the delectible Charlize Theron as Reeves's wife, who is driven to insanity by sinister visions, and even Reeves himself turns in a good show. But its Pacino who steals and dominates the film, bellowing and cackling his way through some terrific dialogue, he's just great fun to watch. Some clever imagery as well, giving the panoramic vistas across New York a vaguely unreal aura (Hades ?).

Pacino on top form elevates this to an 8.8. Highly recommended.

Maybe but it is still a good yardstick of whether you have seen something a bit special I find as whenever I have been in a cinema and there has been a spontaneous burst of applause at the end it has been a very good film.

I've never heard any applause at the cinema (apart from a couple of occasions when the director or an actor has been there). Where on earth do you go where the audience clap spontaneously, The Tourette's Roxy or something?

All I remember about that film is Pacino showing off his new dental work at every opportunity. He does introduce enough ham to feed a small army however, which almost diverts from the fact that the film is otherwise shit. 5.7 + 1 for Pacino's teeth. (Best Dentures in a Supporting Role)

It can get very damp in some flea pits. Perhaps it was the sound of people swatting at mosquitoes?
