Would you believe 'Aqua' was British Leyland Colour Option in the 1970's so could actually buy your own Aqua Marina?

My dear old Dad was a BL dealer and having driven Marina's I wouldn't recommend them.

He gave up on BL around 77/78 and became a Mazda Dealer.

Warranty claims all but disappeared! Early Mazdas were Rust Buckets it has to be said...

My first car was a Marina :facepalm:

It was a very uncomplicated car. It would cut out if you took your foot off the gas, and I finally fixed this one time when heeling and toing was turning into marathon training in Highgate, with a coke can ring pull to keep the 'thingy' open. I managed to ditch the car before the rust ate it.

Back on topic, I felt a right muppet for buying it.
