I don't think we'll get anyone in by saturday, and even if we do they probably won't play because they have to have time to settle.

Clayton in transfer shennanigans mire.

Ward has difficult bonus issues.

Baldock is jokingly overvalued.

Watched baldock on saturday....Very intelligent player who would do very well in the championship. The club need to get a grip as baldock is the ideal striker in my opinion.

£2 million and he'll be an asset to the club as he's still young, time to stop pissing around and go and get him.

Maybe Naylor will get one of the three right.

Naylor's story was that the club "expected them to sign"
As others reported this independently at the times its a good bet to assume the club thought they would be completed and it was a good story to report that this was the case.

The fact they didn't doesn't make Naylor, The Argus or anyone else (Talk Sport, Sky and others also reported Ward, Clayton and Baldock being targets) wrong in claiming that these signings were imminent.

The reasons for not getting them over the line weren't the fault of journalists.

Alright, keep yer hair on. I don't recall claiming Naylor was at fault.
