Don't get the assumption that Agard's arrival means Baldock will be sold. Brighton interested but nowhere near meeting City's valuation!
This means No.
With the departure of Will Buckley, I would like to see a striker with comparable speed, but I cannot see an English player in the lower divisions with this speed. Or with the ability to shoot with both feet. I'd sooner we hold fire rather than signing a player on a three year contract that would not be able to hack it in the Premier League.

If what Cotterell says is correct why dont Bristol City just say if you pay x amount he is yours if not dont bother and not haggle. We then either pay the money they want or dont as the club see fit.
Not ure about that. Baldock seems well happy at City and if they go up then makes them even more attractive

All if and buts. He hasn't scored yet this season and by all accounts isn't the same player as last season, maybe he's been a one season wonder like Mcormack?

If we spend more than 2-3m on any player at this level I would begin to question our recruitment credentials. There is a whole world of players out there. A club should be able to recruit players of a very high standard without spending more than that. And countless have proved it.
It did cross my mind and Baldock isn't going to come out and say I want to leave just in case the deal falls through but I wouldn't want us paying more than a million for him.

From reading that he isn't the same player then yes it does seem like it but if they are holding us to ransom then it'll be in our interest to forget it and move on. I'd rather we go with what we have than pay stupid money for him and wait till next summer and hopefully bag a bargain from abroad.
