Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock!!!!
I am a lover of great use of language, and that scene certainly was that.

Yes I am also an old git but having caught the programme when wandering past and seen my adult offspring watching it I now am hooked and have been presented with the first series DVD for my birthday.

From another old git. Its the best thing on the box. American humour so advanced over our dire comedies. Think Taxi, Cheers, Friends, Frazier etc.

What? Not particularly funny? Er how about the episode with Sheldon in the ballpit? Comic genius of the highest order. Bazinga!!

Even just reading that had me chuckling about the ball pit.

The Halloween one is a cracker as well. Or when penny spilt something on Sheldon's seat. There are so many good episodes it's hard to pick my favourite.

Yes, I am a big fan of it.

Massive fan but haven't caught any of series 5 yet - may have to invest in the DVD when it's out.

this episode is on right now!

Its very much in the 'friends' mould for me too, i could watch it for hours and hours, and completely forget everything i have just watched.

Enjoyable, funny, but very forgettable.

Round the back, by the bins.
Love "Big Bang" but can't stand "How I Met Your Mother".
Read the vanity cards at the end of every episode, they're class.

I agree with the OP, it's definitely one of those fall back shows that can easily fill a spare half-an-hour. E4 do seem to pick episodes at random sometimes and there are a couple (e.g. the online gaming one) that seem to get drawn out of the hat far more than others.
