My partners uncle was helping people on Woodingdean tonight.. and then had a heart attack. Awaiting news of his condition

Sorry to hear that, hope their condition isnt bad.

Sussex Police arent answering my tweet on Twitter regarding Woodingdean, so it may well be possible. A girl was hit by a car up there though earlier in the day.

One fatality on Falmer road, used to live there til 6 months ago, it has its own weather up there and is normally the first place to get snowed in or stranded. And Falmer road is not a great road to drive even in good conditions, regularly accidents on it, and usually serious.

Although I have heard another story of someone having a baby in a car up there this evening too.

Not a good idea to be on the roads at all down there in all honesty, was this snow not forecast? and I take it no grifters have been spotted since Saturday?

As much as I love the city I'm glad I don't actually live there any more.

Non stop blizzard here in Withdean/Westdene since 3.30.

Settled almost from the start on the existing snow pack. A winter wonderland again.

Seems uniquely on the Downs around Brighton and the A27.

BBC SE's roving reporters, and other nsc contributors, are only seeing tedious rain!

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1358894582.378518.jpgThis is what it's like couple mins from Brighton station, wet ground hardly any snow.

Flumpage (new favourite word after Lopez) has now ceased in TN6. Was thawing quite rapidly through the afternoon, now all cold and slippy again. I will be well dischuffed if Saturday is affected by it.

Just got back from A27 carnage. I joined the back of it but cars abandoned everywhere and police escorting tractors with snow ploughs through the traffic. Looked like it had been hit by a huge sudden blizzard.

Flumping big flakes coming down here again. It's been snowing for the past couple of hours or so, but has suddenly got a lot heavier.
