Even by the standards of Sussex collapses that was special. Absolutely cruising. Batting line uo was appalling, no depth at all. We needed 4.5 an over for 6 overs with 8 wickets in hand. One of the most incompetent chases ive ever seen.

The major issue is no senior promo that lower middle order. Gloucestershire had Phillips who steadied their batting. If we had had someone with big game experience coming in 7/8 (e.g. Chris Jordan) he could have calmed things down, taken responsibility and likely got us over the line. Instead we had a bunch of kids and bowlers who can’t bat swinging at everything.

That is a bit generous. Even club players would have done better than our lot tonight. Experience doesn't matter if they have zero brain cells which nobody seemed to.

Sure as hell not going to get an increase in revenue playing like that or indeed playing colts/club cricketers.

Serious questions need to asked of the ties running this shambles.

Every now and again a little ray of hope. An excellent and patient maiden century made today by 20 year old Oli Carter as we finished an attritional day at 245 for 7. Great to see.
