Arsene Wenger once said "good morning" to me - as I sat outiside his office waiting to meet with the son of the Arsenal chairman.
My grandfather was the Secretary of "East Side Swifts AFC" who won the Sussex Junior Cup, the Lewes League, the Lewes Charity Cup and the Seaford Charity Cup - in 1913/14 (I wonder how many of the players survived WW1?)
I was the last person to get into Highbury for the FA Cup semi-final in 1983 as I waited for my mates wife who had to dash into the ladies just before kick-off (he'd gone off and left her there!) but we ended up by the band and right in line with Jimmy Case for his free kick goal.
I had an operation on my knee in between the 1983 final and the replay - and I was at both matches (had to sit for the replay).
Gordon McQueen sliced a ball into the crowd in the 1983 replay - and it hit me in the face, but it's not on TV 'cos the camera's were above and behind us (I could'nt get out of the way 'cos my knee was heavily bandaged).
