Because we had Warnock for the first half of the season then Super Al and his flair.

Meanwhile you are aiming for above 20th next year.

Two years and now a world apart. Good old Palace!

And there was I thinking BBS would be aglow with a Pardew love in, yet another finds a little time to visit NSC. You got back quick.

Speak for yourself Nobby, a quality French Merlot on the go.

Are you into British wine? Wait rose has tenterden sparking wine( it's better than most French champagne) for 14.95 a bottle reduced down from £22. We love tenterden wine...it's the one with the red stripe along the label. If you are into wine, the whole range is fab.

Great result for palace today BTW...in fact magnificent result.

Stevie G is a fantastic player and it will be a huge waste him plying his trade in the US...as it will Fat Frank!

Who cares what you think? We've just smashed Liverpool on their own patch.

You couldn't smash your way out of a plastic stadium with a sharpened two-year old clacker.

Celebrating by coming on our forum eh? Don't you have any friends lol

Plenty, wife is watching the recent Robin Hood film with Crowe on the Sky box at the moment. A US 6.2/10.

On to the Brandy now.

How's your bedsit with a crusty copy of Razzle?

Thanks for the tip, will check out.

If you can find it, the Stopham wines are very good too, whites, but don't let that put you off, and of course, Nytimbers Classic Blend is just sublime.

Always good to see some intelligent comments.
To the "Come on Palace" comment. Only on a Brighton forum.
Privileged to have watched him over the last 17 years and hopefully he finds himself in the dugout in the not too distant future.

A brilliant player to watch and one who we should have built the England team around.

As usual NSC takes the easy way out and finds fault instead of appreciating a fantastic talent.

Hardly seems worth taking an interest in football if you can't appreciate one of the best players of his generation.

Well, there's some excellent examples on this thread of what's been described as Brit Envy. Apparently we're viewed by the rest of the world as being a nation jealous of anyone perceived to achieve "too much" success.

A lot of the guff being posted is just sour grapes and small mindedness, although when people like Kinky Gerbils feel the need to register half-a-dozen or more vitriolic posts then it does seem to stray into an angry but rather sad obsession.

Tall Poppy syndrome they call it over here. Australians find it hilarious that we are so mistrustful of success. Many reckon that is why we struggle with it and cannot sustain it when we get it.

So let me get this right. A whole bunch of people in Brighton who think that Stevie gets too much media coverage SAT AND WATCHED while simultaneously complaining on NSC about it.

Simultanious remote control malfunction? Locked in the house? bed ridden?

Were you at the MCG on "that night" to join in with YNWA ?
(are you getting goosebumps remembering ?)

Tell me when he played so well for England that we should have built a team around him ?
Top tier PL player but no more than that.

All the fuss about SG this w/e outside Liverpool is nothing short of mad.

LOL
Yeah yeah, sure they do ........

Gallup poll was it ?

Why do you think Australians invented a term for it in the first place?

One of the guys in the office is a big LA Galaxy fan. He says there are a lot of Brits in LA who are decidedly underwhelmed about Gerrard's arrival. They think he is overrated and past it. Be interesting to see how he fits in with Robbie Keane, currently injured, who has become something of a favorite both on and off the pitch.

Having just got back to the hotel after watching the Sounders beat the Whitecaps the standard of play is middle to top League 1.

Interesting to see how low our "fans" have fallen on this thread supporting Palace, it's very sad to see.
