God I must view everything through blue and white striped tinted glasses. I think Tariq is a serious baller who would thrive under RdZ when fully recovered. Loved his cameo (and goal and celebrations) v Arsenal in the Carabou Cup
Me too. Don’t want to sell him and want to give him time to re-discover the Tariq we all saw initially with a run in the team.

Is his other problem, systems as well. He looks very much a specialist wing back, more running, more chance to get up and down. Right back doesn't accentuate his strengths in the same way

Good point.

Imho he is poor at defending. At this stage lacking the nouse, positional sense and strength. Perhaps that can come with age?

He is, or was, a serious baller but he has played 58 games since that major injury a couple of years ago. Exactly when does he fully recover?

We’ve plenty of games next season. Glad he’s part of the squad/plans.
Hey, don't get me wrong. I'll take a good run in the League Cup over bugger all.
To be frank, my main memory of him last season is of him looking absolutely shite against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup.
I may well have seen him in matches after that, but he clearly made no impression whatsoever on my memory.

Great goal against Arsenal in the league cup. But yep - a disappointing/ frustrating season. But far too early to write him off. Hes still only 23.

I will have seen that as well, despite being held up outside the ground until half time trying to get a ticket printed.
I've no desire or inclination to play Nostradamus over a young man's career, but I don't particularly rate him.
I will love it if I'm proved wrong, partly because it means he'll be doing well for us, partly because he seems like a nice lad.

RDZ has more faith than most of the doubters on here thankfully. He’s not for sale, back in full training, and part of his plans for this season.
I suppose in initial training he has looked to be back to his pre-injury self.

Me too, can’t believe how people are wanting him gone. I’d like to see him fit and with a few games under his belt before I write him off which quite a few seem to have done.
