looks like we'll need to ensure India tour England in April next time. Let's see how they like it

From the BBC comments:

Good plan by England to be forced to follow on and hence not bat 4th on this pitch. Smart. :)

A life for Stokes...

40.1 J Yadav to Stokes, no run, the bail doesn't come off. The bail doesn't come off. Would you believe it? This is short of a length, has beaten him as Stokes goes back to punch. The ball hits the top of the stumps. They move a little but refuse to fall off. And this is a good whack. No glance

Close of play, Day two.

England 103-5 (49 overs), Bairstow 12* Stokes 12*

trailing by 352 runs on first innings.

A bore draw does not look to be one of the likely outcomes.

Morning everyone, Stokes and Bairstow currently showing up the lack of application of the Top Order, 166-5 with an 86 runs partnership.

Still a Country Mile behind unfortunately...

Ashwin and Jadeja like the new ball too. Stokes out LBW but was really caught and Ansari out plumb.

234-8. Will we reach the follow on target even though it won't be enforced. 21 to go I think.

Morning everyone, I see NSC has given up on this Match! :lolol:

Anyway India 204 all out, just the matter of 405 runs to get then.

Were Loose having made around 180 sometime before close of play today?

Morning. Just been with TMS for a couple of hours. Great 5-33 from Broad.
Just a simple 80 runs per session will be enough to see us home............
Good time to have a look at Hameed under pressure.
Sussex by the Sea flag in red in the crowd.

Impressed with Kohli's captaincy. Very energetic and leads from the front. India field as if they are playing 20/20. I remember the days when half the team seemed to believe that chasing a red ball across a dusty outfield was below them as upper caste Brahmins.
He even got the crowd making even more noise by cupping his ear in front of the big Stand. My poor fragile head....
