What a beautiful day. Not that there's ever a bad day for beating Palace mind you....

Would be great to have a NSC group and get a few photos up on the main board like the old times.

Any suggestions for a decent pub in Lancing close by to have a prematch meetup? :drink::whisky:

Calling zefarelly, Brovion, Publius Ovidius, Uncle S and anyone on NSC who's up for it.

:bhasign::bhasign::bhasign:

(Mods - can we lose the sticky today for maximum bounce potential and visibility?)

The bar will be open inside the ground.

The only other decent boozer in the vicinity is the Stanley Ale House, a micropub which is in a parade of shops literally two minutes from Sussex FA HQ. Avoid the Railway pub next to the station. Bleurgh!

Done. I've only just seen this, perhaps proving your point. This is your first bounce, after that it's up to you.

What ex-pros do we have in the team this year?

I can't go tonight but recommend the micropub and pizzeria in that little precinct just north of the station. Probs 3 mins walk from Culver Rd. SUPERB pizza.

In a pile of football shirts
I've not been there since pre lockdown, but the chips at the ground always used to be excellent.

Should be in the Lancing FC bar at around 6:30pm. Hope to meet old friends and new down there.

Found my original REMF 1 warm up shirt from 20 years ago.

I'll bring it along for purely nostalgic reasons. It's a bit tight now...

All we need now is an Albion win! :ascarf:

Yep 4-1 to Palace.

Won't post too much now as had a couple of ciders, but their first looked offside, but was a thunderous finish, the second was quality, the third a penalty and the fourth a speculative and long range hit that got an almost immediate deflection and that was game done. Great comeback from us in the second half but we had one bad "quarter" over the two legs.

Met hart's shirt who is an absolutely lovely bloke and chatted about everything from Arabian politics to NSC itself, via a few diversions.

A great evening spoiled by 90 mins of football. And isn't that a fitting curtain to an Albion season?

The pleasure was all mine, GB.

Great evening and many thanks for your excellent company!

The Albion boys showed a lot of character and won the 2nd half 1-0. But the damage had been done in the 1st.

Well done once again to Gareth / Uncle S and to Al / TLO on the mic.

The REMF is quite probably NSC's greatest legacy. You guys embody that with your commitment over the years.

And seeing Ricky Marlowe still doing it the pitch at 71 years old gives us all hope. :clap2:

Blimey. That ‘challenge’ as the Palace player shaped to shoot for the 4th

Maybe the video makes it look worse than it was but a bit unnecessary to go in two-footed and airborne in a charity match
