Xabi Alonso will surely be the favourite. Ex player and doing notable things as a manager.
De Zerbi would surely be on their shortlist though.

Take that back, Raul is evens for the job, Alonso second favourite.

Can't see Real taking a chance on RDZ just yet. If we progress to a Champions League slot or win some silverware this year (ie the FA Cup) that will move him closer to the front of the queue for really big jobs though.

RDZ will be on every teams shortlist.

Was thinking about this the other day, must be mad being in his position and having to field a constant stream of enquiries, conversations, we'd love to have you once XXX leaves, this job might be coming up soon, you're our favourite, etc etc. Obviously he has an agent to screen these but he'll surely be telling Roberto all about it. Must be tricky to keep focus.

He/we would have to have a truly outstanding season for him to leapfrog other candidates, especially in Europe. Cant see that kind of move yet.

Not ready IMO still making what would seem basic errors occasionally with team selections.
That’s never stopped many managers getting jobs before.

You'd imagine that him leaving will be to a club like that really.

Thankfully it'll be Raul or Xabi Alonso for Real.

I would expect RDZ is one of many names on their list, but they’ll end up going for someone with more experience in the champions league, someone with more trophies, or someone with a Real Madrid connection. We love RDZ but to their fans I doubt he would be a standout choice.
