Stoo82 - Thanks for your support. Interesting to see the Athens, greece location!
Were getting there, a bit like the tortoise in the race and as Bob Paisley used to say it's a marathon not a race. Fortunately the LDP consultation process has now started and this is anticipated to last three months, so we have time on our side to reach our target of 10,500.

Petition Update

Following your fantastic support, the Racecourse petition now totals 8,800 and well on course to reach the Campaign final target of 10,500.

In response to the campaign, the local council have agreed a new policy for "sports stadia" notating the Racecourse ground by name in the Local Development Plan's draft policy. This is very good news at stage 1. It then goes on public deposit in June/July 2010 to be approved by the planning inspector.

The owners of the football club still maintain a "no comment" when journalists report on the petition. Some feel the owners have been rattled by the effect and momentum of this grassroots fans campaign.

We've never forgotten our friends from Wrexham during our struggles, and I'm so glad we've been able to support you in this small way. It sounds like progress is being made now which is fantastic, and good luck with reaching your target.
