Steve Cooper badly needs a win tonight to get the squad fired up. After signing a new deal the board have backed him and well done to them. Watford take note - I really hope Slaven Bilic relegates them.

I do like Nottingham Forest and their fans (best mate at school was an avid supporter who went to a lot of games and had a cracking sense of humour!)

Two poor teams in a scrappy bottom of the table game. Forest 11 men behind in the ball in a rigid 4-5-1 when defending, pumping the ball down the wing for Dennis and Johnson to sprint after, trying to get at Mings in particular.

Villa very slow in possession, but lots more ambition. No idea how these two teams have spent so much money and yet look so completely lacking in quality.

Good goal from Young, though.

Fair summary.

Its quite laughable how Forest play it round the back to draw the press, then just give up and lump it down the flank. Its SO easy to defend against, even for a hapless clogger like Mings. There's simply nobody in their team with the craft and guile to work the ball around swiftly or accurately from back to front, they're utterly woeful.

Villa look to have a bit more about them, but the deliveries in from Cash and Young have been shocking. Coutinho is a pale shadow of the player he used to be. They look every inch a bottom 6 team but will just about have enough to stay out of serious bother.

Considering the money these two have spent though...bloody hell.

Gerrard has certainly coached rolling around clutching an ankle into this Villa team, hasn’t he?

I’m rooting for Forest here on that alone.

How does McGinn think that’s anything but a yellow

The two easy bits are in - not convinced about the other two though :lolol:

If ever two teams deserve to lose it’s this game.

My Villa supporting relative will not be happy with this, pressure really building on Stevie G, Villa fans expect better.

That really was dross. Forest are hopeless, Villa marginally better but their players have shocking attitudes. Luiz constantly moaning, Ramsay getting in two separate altercations, moaning about this, moaning about that. Then there were THREE dreadful dives from Young in the last ten minutes alone.

You can tell they are absolutely desperate and the message is “win ugly”.

Well they drew ugly, and as poster above says, they both deserved to lose. Championship standard without the pace.
