.... and ours was a fairly easy schedule for March. Whereas SCC had a much tougher schedule and had their 'games in hand' been played in March then theirs would have been a much better effort, and Adkins would walk it......

And the whole season one would assume?

Why should he win it? After all he has spent a fortune to get where we are (Clark), Southampton are still planning to win it (Adkins), Peterborough have been the best team over the last two months, and anyway, there are 'plenty of teams in the league who play just as well' as Brighton (Robinson)...

If Daggers beat us tonight I'd think their gaffer would be in with a shout - unbeaten all month and pulling clear of relegation. Otherwise it has to be Gus.

He's rubbish, we've only won a single game by more than 1 goal, the rest of the league are LAUGHING at our pathetic, cheating ball hogging displays

I'd agree. Great run of results for them in March and a win tonight would take them level on points with the biggest club in the division. Considering they are little more than a glorified pub team (probably smaller than Crawley Town) I think they've done tremendously well to stay clear of the relegation zone when you consider that Walsall, Bristol Rovers and Yeovil have all hit a bit of a purple patch.

Albion have obviously been brilliant this month and you can only beat what's in front of you, but we're now grinding out results as opposed to battering teams, and we do have a much bigger and better squad than D&R. If Gus loses out to the D&R boss this month, I think it would be a bitter man not to begrudge the little team that accolade.

What a curious phrase - 'shoe-in.'

The phrase "shoe-in" is actually an evolution of the phrase "to show in". This was originally used when customers queued for their seats at the theatre around the turn of the century, if a guest of honour (or what we call a VIP today) arrived, then to save them waiting in the cold and rain, they got a "show-in" whereby they by-passed the queue and were shown personally to their seats by a hostess.

So, it really meant 'a quick and easy route' - which I guess is what many people would think is Gus's chance of winning League One MOTM for March.

I think John Still at Dagenham & Redbridge will get the gong irrespective of what happens tonight.

Whilst we have done very well to have won seven on the spin this month (hopefully eight after tonight), the Football League generally spread the award out and do well in recognising notable achievement from sides at either end of the league table.

To be fair, given the fact they have by far the least resources in this division (well, bar Plymouth unfortunately), I think John Still's done an outstanding job there this season and could even be an outside challenger to Gus for the Manager of the Season award.

As for Player of the Month for March, it surely has to be Glenn Murray, right?

According to this peterborough telegraph article, the LMA rates Ferguson more than gus (by virtue of larger margins of victory, I presume).

Got nothing to do with any of that.

All they take into account now is purely down to the number of points won by the team in the appropritae month.

So the manager of the month is the manager iof the team who has won most points in thier division in the month.

And as we have not dropped a SINGLE point in March I suggest the betting has closed.
