Blimey.

I grew up in Bognor and in the Punk era, The Sussex on the High Street was the place to go on a Friday and Saturday night. Watneys Red Barrel and phlegm was a potent mixture back then.

We had a local band that we thought were absolutely f***ing brilliant. They played at the Reading Festival in 1977 I think, which I saw though a Kronenberg coma.

The band were called Staa Marx and the truth of it was they were pretty crap as bands go, but they were LOCAL and we all thought they were great.

It was a long time ago

Also saw em @ the richmond very early 80,s , it kicked off with the crawley lot........strange got some good mates out of that evening.

Brighton art college 1979 good gig but wern,t really into them although they are on my ipod now and i like em better than i did then......Gotta add 2 nights of the Clash at the top rank supported by pete townsend have gotta go down as a once in a life time experiance . Especially as we gobbed him off the stage....
