What’s it like on trains for people travelling to work...assume that its well down due to WFH..but do any of them get near capacity..are their rules on how many are allowed on?

I go in twice a week and they are pretty deserted. They also run on time as there is a reduced service which is a big bonus

Going to Falmer on a matchday would be completely different and unworkable

I dont get the relevance of how empty trains are at the moment. We are talking about a completely different scenario which particularly for the journey home might involve several thousand fans wanting to get a train at the same time. There clearly needs to be a plan to deal with that vastly different situation.

I think it is to counter the claim that commuter/tourist trains are running as normal and therefore the same should apply to the football. As you say, a fair amount of planning will be required regardless of what happens at other times.
