A week on Saturday, our next home game, sees the first vist to Withdean of our old friend Scott McGleish (now at Northampton). What sort of welcome does everyone think he should give him?.

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
Be nice to have a player that winds up the opposition and wins games for his club:dunce:

Forgive the probably stupid question, but I feel I may not be the only one on NSC wondering this:

What exactly has Scott McGleish done that he should be abused for?

I take it you weren't at the 4-4 with Orient at the Goldstone in 1997?

I always feel that abusing a player tends to get them playing better.

I certainly remember Gabbiadini getting a mouthful at Pissfield and getting a hat-trick.

I was 13 and living just outside Oxford at the time, so that'd be a no.

Still doesn't answer my question though.

Generally, I would agree. But McGleigh had an absolute horse's arse of a game against us away at Barnet, for example, when a noisy, boisterous Albion contingent clearly put him off his stroke. Fine work.

Wasn't having a go mate. He stuck his fingers up at the North stand and told us we were going down.

I was on a stag do in Btn last year and we met up with a hen party full of milf's from Essex. I was chatting to one of the nicer ones, when the topic of the Albion came up. Then she said "why is it you lot hate Scott McGleish so much?". Impressed with her Albion genreal knowledge, I preceded to rant at her (always an attractive quality when talking to a "lady") for 5 minutes of why he was such a ****, and why I'd love to see him fail in everything he ever did in his life ever, and why we all have such a laugh baiting him whenever he comes up against the Albion...
So I finish with "where did you hear about the Albion/McGleish thing then anyway?".
She replied with a straight face "I'm married to him."
I made my excuses and left...
