A 4-1-3-1-1 formation.....oh I've forgotten Buckley. :lolol:......how about a 3-6-1?

Edit: do we really NEED four defenders?

It is basically impossible. I nearly did it then realised I had forgotten Dobbie, had to leave out one of CMS, Barnes, LuaLua if I wanted to have Buckley and Vicente in, etc. Hardly even thought about Orlandi.

I bet Gus still starts with Dicker tomorrow

But was I right in hearing If a player was signed after Midday they can't play this weekend, I may be wrong but if I'm not then no Dobbie, Hammomd or Lopez tomorrow no matter how good they are.

Edit: woodchip already said basically this earlier

Lopez will play im sure of it and Orlandi when fit.

Dicker, Barnes your days look numbered to me, no pace will cost them there place in side.

Still looks like 1 up front to me, so CMS or Dobie

With 2 wide men bombing on Buckley, Lopez, Orlandi, Lua Lua

Possible 3 central of Bridders Crofts and Hammond

Christ i have no idea, but whatever way you look at it, we have a quality squad.

I still think Vicente is OFF tho

Anyone leaving out Vicente couldn't have seen him play last year!
Not sure if CMS and Dobbie will play together?

Barnes has to start ahead of CMS on current form as the nominal striker and I think he will probably be more comfortable in what effectively will become a 7 man midfield going forward (Greer el Abd and Bridcutt staying back with everyone else including the 2 full backs rotating forward). Awesome!

Still don't think Gus will play a traditional 2 up front, just don't expect him to change the system, just to try it with better quality - in the official notes (e.g. website) we're usually listed as playing 4-3-3 (recently the 3 midfielders being Bridders, Dicker and Crofts and the front 3 being Noone, Barnes and CMS), so I would go with something like:

Kusczak
Bruno El Abd Greer Bridge

Bridcutt
Hammond Crofts

Lopez Orlandi/Dobbie
CMS

Could also line up as:

Bridcutt Crofts

Lopez Dobbie Orlandi

CMS

but I doubt he'll be that attacking unless we go behind.

Either way when fit (and if all stay) that means picking 3/4 out of Lopez/Orlandi/Dobbie/CMS/Barnes/Buckley/Lua Lua/Vicente for the attacking positions, pretty exciting stuff!!

I like the look of that.

Edit: in fact, even if we don't play that way, I think I'm going to give it a go whenever I get this year's FM/ FMH!

OK so Lopez being a fringe player at Bilbao last year and being as far as I'm aware fit... I think is likely to be a certain starter.

Kusczak
Bruno El-Abd Greer Bridge
Bridcutt Hammond/Crofts
Lopez Vicente Buckley
Dobbie

Subs: Brez, Dunk, Hammond/Crofts, Orlandi, LuaLua, CMS, Barnes

You look at that squad and there is huge depth in midfield, Hammond is a quality signing coming off the bench, I think Dicker, sparrow and harley are out permanently
