The way I see it is this, the Barnsley game is OUR formation it allows attacking flexibility and defensive cover.
So;

Kusczak
Bruno
Greer
El Abd
Bridge

Bridcutt
Crofts (poyets number one midfield target)
Pick themselves

Depending on opposition Hammond or Orlandi will compete for the third midfield place.

Then Gus will choose 3 of the 7 forward players who are interchangeable ala Spain.

CMS
Buckley
Lua Lua
Lopez
Dobbie
Vicente
Barnes

Gus will always base the team on a solid backbone so expect a solid midfield three.

I think many would pick a whole bunch of flair players in midfield but I really do think Gus will go for Bridcutt, Crofts and Hammond for lots of games rather than only 2 of them. Look back and he's always picked 3 solid CM so that his full backs can essentially be wing backs. It's very Spanish!

Can't even fit everyone in the squad FFS! We're bound to have injuries!

Then there's Toby as well.

I'm buzzing!

There is no way I can pick a team without leaving someone unhappy. We are selling who? CMS? Barnes? Vicente going back to spain?

I'm not even going to be able to play one league match on fm2013 without feeling bad for leaving a great player out of the squad

you could just use football manager 2012 with the free fan made transfer updates off the forums, save yourself £30 thats 4 pie and pints

Very much this.

Bridcutt, Crofts and Hammond is a very solid looking midfield.

I'm buzzing too. At last we have presence from corners and free kicks and that is Dean Hammond. The best headerer of the ball. We don't score enough from set pieces which is vital.

Kuszczak
Bruno - Greer - El-Abd/Dunk - Bridge
Bridcutt - Crofts
Orlandi
Lopez - Mackail-Smith - Barnes

Subs
Brezovan, Dunk/El-Abd, Vicente, Hammond, Buckley, LuaLua, Dobbie

This took me ages to come up with as i kept swapping players in and out

I still can not decide between Dunk and El-Abd, i know El-Abd has played great this season but i still feel its a toss up between the two players so whichever one starts the other will be on the bench

What a squad we have now though and think the players that will look like missing out are, Casper Ankergren, Inigo Calderon ,Marcos Painter, Gary Dicker, Ryan Harley, Will Hoskins and Torbjorn Agdestein.....looks like its gunna be a good season for us :D

and some amazing choices of Lua Lua/Orlandi/Crofts/Barnes/Hammond/Agdestein

A nice comparison to the choice Poyet had when he first took over:

Kuipers, Whing, Elphick, Tunnicliffe, El-Abd, Bennett, Dicker, Crofts, Cox, Forster, Murray. Subs: Graeme Smith, Navarro, Dickinson, Livermore, Hart, Virgo, Craig Davies

Agree with all of that - what a team we now have...

Very difficult. Gus has a 'nice' selection problem. My problem meanwhile is I haven't seen enough of Lopez and Orlandi yet. I just tried to do this and I actually couldn't. I agree that the back 4, keeper, Bridcutt and Crofts probably pick themselves but after that I'm stuck. Probably why Gus is manager and I'm not :)

No point guessing.starting 11.

We all know back 5 + Bridders are nailed on starters when fit.
Think cms and Dobbie won't start together as Gus talks about quality from the bench.
Vicente will play as much as he can be may be limited so shouldn't be counted on.
Therefore I believe :-
Kuszcak
Bruno + bridge
El abd and Greer
Bridcutt
Buckley
Orlandi
Lopez
Barnes
Cms

Then if going for the win, bring on Dobbie Hammond and kaz.

********Forgot about Buckley************

Its mind boggling, i remember getting excited about players like liam dickinson et al. What the hell has happened to our tin pot athletics track team in just a few years.

Very very difficult

However, this would be my team if all were fit and available

--------------------Kuzczsak----------------------

Bruno---------Greer-------El Abd---------Bridge

----------------------Bridcutt---------------------
------------Vicente-------------Crofts------------

Buckley---------------Dobbie----------------CMS

Subs
1. Ankegren
2. Calderon
3. Dunk
4. Hammond
5. Orlandi
6. Lua Lua
7. Lopez

But we very rarely have LuaLua, Buckley, Vicente available at the same time so 1 of 3 being available would mean rotation. If Orlandi is in the same bracket of fitness questionability, then it will be the same.

Bloody glad I don't have to pick the team! Think there are going to be some disappointed midfielders at the club.
