We will never get out of this league playing this way,,,Fact!!!....Unless you throw millions at it getting the right players in, to play such a way....

Bizarre and biased comparisons.

Aside from that, Pearson, Dyche and McClaren have never been promoted from this league, so I am not sure why they are included.

Mick McCarthy has two promotions in 10 seasons at this level. Billy Davies has one promotion in 10 seasons at this level.

Harry Redknapp has only had two gigs in this league. Both of them at free spending Portsmouth and free spending QPR.

Adkins once with Southampton? Compare his budget and calibre of player to ours?

The same Pulis who only wanted a prem job?

Maybe so, he is just an example. We will never get out of this league playing the way we do. We may beat the top of the table etc etc, but we won't do the donkey work, week in week out to beat the average sides.....All these "flair" players are a complete waste of space in the nitty gritty of this league.

There is a huge amount of doubt as you can't invent the future. You can not say that for certain*.

* Well you can and you just did, but it is idiotic.

I can say, we won't go up with 100% confidence....and nor will we never without proven TOP end proven players at this standard.

Can't blame Oscar for signing the flair players he inherited them

Kev, what would you be doing tonight if Brighton had won?

Cos you certainly wouldn't be on here.

David Burke is British though isn't he?... I thought he had more of a say than Oscar on signings and team selection, doesn't Oscar just take the training and stand in the dugout?

Where has the nonsense masqueraded as fact come from? Keep seeing it mentioned on here with no actual basis for it.

Did Hull and Palace spend loads last season? Or did they just have two managers who knew the division?

Palace were doing better with freeman, they limped over the line with holloway. Bruce has managed in the championship a fair bit that's true however only got promotion twice before hull and the second time with Birmingham he had the largest budget by far

Knee jerk reaction to a disappointing result?

A promising managers first season in English football and fans expecting miracles?

20 out of 24 are British/Irish. Stands to reason that they are more likely to get promoted, if we're being incredibly lazy and ignoring everything from club size/budget/spending power/parachute payments/injuries/etc.

and lets look at some of the managers that have taken teams up in the past 5 years:

Mackay
Holloway (twice ffs)
Allardyce
Bruce
Lambert
Warnock
Coyle
McLeish
McCarthy

and how many on here would turn their noses up at most on these lists??? We need a certain style and management team to get out of this division and we are nowhere near that now.

But you could look at the teams they already had (Allardyce, Lambert) and others that spent a fair few £ to get out the league. What about all the English/British managers that have flopped? Further, how well are those clubs (and managers) doing now? Build the club from the bottom with a style of play and in the long run you will be better off.

Coyle didn't do so well with his next job
Holloway no thanks
Allardyce definitely no
Mcleish wouldn't be that high on my list
Bruce not 100% convinced by him

But this is all besides the point. The idea is to change our style from the ground up and it's long term not short term. The idea is to get promotion and be able to stay there. Cardiff spent several years getting closer and closer until they got there.
