I think I read in one of his books that he tried- or at least was told to- play on in that game.

Imagine that in this day & age. Shudder to think about it.

I was told the same when i snapped my ligament believe you me i tried but my leg just kept collapsing under me.

There not many things i think are impossible in life but playing on after just snapping you cruciate is one.
