Milliband about to get torn a new one by Paxman on C4 now

This thread just shows what a waste of time the whole exercise is on TV and elsewhere. The Labour types say Milliband came out best and the Tory types say the same about Dave. Nobody cares or believes a word they say and will vote how they always vote. Voting in a General Election is like ordering a Chinese meal. You spend a while thinking about it, then order the same as always.

This ^^^

No need to read anything else.

Goodnight

It's almost as if there is some kind of propaganda occurring to make us think that this form of democracy still works...

Yup. I'm looking forward to the IS leaders debate.

Interestingly, the demographically neutral hand picked 6 person electoral panel on Newsnight called it 5-1 for Cameron.

There's still a long way to go in this election campaign.

mmm, no, it rather suggests people dont follow what the media say and make up their own mind. and that the political media have a different perspective to the public.

Bozza, you clearly don't get involved with the political threads on NSC enough.

You would soon realise that the "the left" don't support either Labour or Ed.

thats because they are watered down tories

Most people on this thread decided who the winner was the day the debate was first announced.

Rubbish. I decided much earlier than this.

Milliband got a rough ride and people are complaining about that, come on. This is the first time the general public and the media have had the chance to quiz Milliband live and basically he cracked, but now I bet there will be a hell of a lot of people who will be voting for Labour because they feel sorry for Ed. Reactionary voting, it's all very sad if this party get given control of this country on the back of this.

For me personally I got all the answers I needed from Labour on the issues of immigration, they will do naff all and they don't care about the numbers. They can't control it and don't have any intention of controlling it.

Just like the Tories then who promised to cut immigration but instead it went up.

To be fair, the BBC is full of pinko lefties who won't even let their presenters flog underlings to within an inch of their lives if they haven't got a steak ready for them at the end of work.

Yeah, of course it is. One thing we can be certain of following last nights "debate" is where Paxmans political loyalties are.

Milliband would of done well to list all the great things labour have done and what a mess and shambles the country was in when they got in 1997 .

Now it's been shown Ed is tough enough, and is not swayed by Paxman, can the mods change the disrespectful and inaccurate thread title please?

Paxman showing us what we all knew anyway, that Cameron is a compulsive liar.
He does not even know the figures on borrowing and immigration.
Really struggling.
Hope Paxman mentions the massive cuts to education in the next 5 years.

Some awkward moments for Cameron in the Paxman session but I think he came through relatively unscathed. The audience Q&A will be a calk walk for him as he will just talk and talk and run the clock down. Unless he gets a real curve ball that stumps him I think it is job done and in the clubhouse for Cameron for tonight's TV appearance.

7 / 10. Solid if unspectacular.

Bit like reading the home and away teams forums after a match!

Indeed, he is virtually a communist by tradition, but Socialist is probably about right as it stands,.....a champagne one at that, especially on his multi million pounds BBC contracts.

So that will consist of promises and lies......voters are far more inclined to look at recent history for evidence.....

Feel free to look at the past 5 years and make your mind up then. I'm not stopping you.
