Wells out for 16. First ball from Harris.

One down, with 230 still needed. Weather closing in. All variables are in play :)

Yardy out bowled by Patel... goodbye to Lords for Yards, out for 11.

Seemed to be some controversy, but hopelessly inadequate description and analysis by John Lees and the Middlesex commentator :nono:

70-4

Supporting Sussex is all about perspective, Sussex do very well to survive finacially and get revenue steams in that allow us to keep a fairly small squad of talented players and rely on youth/developed players to step up every year. We are a family club and sold as that, hence managing to get in players like Jordan, Murray, Adams, Mushy who like the relaxed approach we have and living around Brighton and Hove.

Compare this to clubs like Surrey who have huge budgets and get first picks on signings, coaches, managers and developing players. This demonstrates how our approach and tactics have outstripped much bigger clubs with clout.

Even how bad we are this season we still amazingly have a chance this season, but would need a draw here, win against Somerset and then if we play Yorkshire post champions we could pick something up there. Cricket is such a confidence game either a 20 20 win this week give players that sense back or winning the 20 20 give you the richest purse in cricket and the finances to build again for next season whatever league we are in.

Yep, Nash doing what he does: score a quick 20 or 30 odd and then get out

Middlesex 234 & 331
Sussex 300 & 103/4 (28.4 ov)
Sussex require another 163 runs with 6 wickets remaining

Runs coming quickly with an attacking field, when will Middlesex start going defensive to keep runs on the board
