Staffs, we don't get ANYTHING from the vendors at Withdean. The concessions are paid to Ecovert.

Witdean is a huge financial black hole, the Zamora money never even touched the sides.

The fact that he did spend 100,000 on BZ is an interesting one.

Sometimes you have to speculate to accumulate, and BZ has just made us a tidy profit, not to mention the goals and 2 promotions.

That's true, but we had seen the goods at close range and had formed an accurate assessment of the player. It's a dangerous game risking that sort of money for a player, when your finances are as precarious as ours (ably demonstrated by El Pres's post).

IF GB had been a GREAT goal-per-game signing and was available cheap, then we probably would have speculated, (did we not try to do this with Sidwell?), but in our position we just cannot afford to sign a Mark Farrington.

Prudence has to be the order of the day.
