I believe due to a mix up it got left outside in the rain at Withdean outside its storage hut, and in the end workmen may have inadvertedly binned it with other building waste (it used to be kept in a large builders merchants aggregate sack so it would have blended in).
I once got it washed for the organisers - the only place that could it is was an industrial cleaners in Hove off Sackville Road. It was one Daddy of a flag - in reality to big and too heavy to be practical at the time.
