Probably the strangest thing is why Hughton didn't get the job last summer. He was interviewed and didn't get it, but it may have been down to him not being compatible with the DoF setup?

There was a certain amount of luck that he was still available to step in.

By luck or judgement or hiring a professional non-mental-issues manager it's all worked out for the best tho eh? Daft simple tweaks like giving KLL a full game instead of a 20 minute cameo at the end and/or adding a non-pushover midfield and hiring one or more forwards who can contribute a goal or two now and again. Club just needs to be a bit more brutal now and kick out the residual of last season's serial failures and happy days are here aqain!
