This thread reminds me of a blogger who popped up on 'geeks' advertising his latest piece.
He'd spent the morning at a Spanish early season, creditable Tour of Britain type, event.
He'd watched, from just a couple of yards away, the riders sign on.
He'd milled about the paddock.
He'd looked at the bikes.
He'd rubbed shoulders with top professionals.
He'd not spent a single euro.
He'd come away unhappy.
We pointed out no other sport offered him that much access, FREE.
The fact if he so wished in the afternoon he could replicate the event on his own bike, on the same course, again for FREE.
He could buy the entire kit as used by those pro's for a few thousand pounds.
Or he could buy decent lower specced products from the same manufacturers for much less.
He did seem to admit perhaps he'd been a little close-minded about this morning out.
