Gran Canaria, Amadores in mid April. Go there most years as the Mrs parents have an apartment there so just a case of paying for flights and food.

One of the best beaches ever its all man made with crystal blue water. Cannot wait

Just got back from skiing in La Plagne, was impressed ski-wise actually!

4 nights in New York in April, burning some airmiles. Week in Ukraine for the Euros (anyone found any accomodation in Donetsk?) in June, Ibiza in July for 2-3 nights, Poland in October for WC qualifier, Somewhere in the Carribean (Granada any good?) in November with the missus.

For Zion, we stayed at Cable Mountain Lodge which was great. It's the closest to being in the Park without actually being at the official park lodge. I understand the Cliff Rose next door is also good. Depending on how much time you have there just do as many of the walks as possible. Angels Landing is the famous and apparantly quite scary one but there is another that actually ends up higher and looking down on AL and the rest of the canyon. The town of Springdale pretty much exists solely for the purpose of the visiting tourists but its useful enough with stores, some good eateries and places to hire walking gear if you dont already have it. Damn it I want to go back now.

Just come back from Utah. Two nights in Springdale (Zion National Park was awesome), then two nights in Bryce (the canyon and the hoodoos also awesome), then on to Capitol Reef National Park driving along the amazing Route 12, one of the most scenic highways in the USA. Next was 24 hrs in Vegas (5th or 6th visit - 24hrs is enough - but enjoyed it), and finally a couple of nights in Redondo Beach south of LA.

Great holiday. I love the USA. There is no better place in the world to do a road trip. Highly recommend the southern Utah National Parks if you enjoy amazing scenery and hiking.

Next trip either Georgia and the Carolinas during Azalea time, or back to Northern California. What a great country!

Just been invited by a mate to go to Zurich for new year so looking forward to that. Certainly better than paying £38 to get into Portman Road.

on the downside, you'll be paying £20 for a main meal anywhere, and £8 for a pint.

Staying at my mates house so free room and will be having a fair bit of nosh at his place. £8 a pint is a kick in the balls though!
