why does every one seem to have a pronblem with him?
he has a good track record apart from at spurs ,but id doubt any one could turn them round and did a decent job with england.

He is probably a nice bloke but his reputation in football circles is that he has no man mangement skills. Loads of stories have come about after he left Spurs.

Because he has narrow minded religious views, no man management skills and is basically a to$$er.

Apart from that..........

you cant judge people on this,
his connections are good and will be able to get some decent players in.

or is it the case that some people cant get over the fact that he bought zamora

I can and I will - people who say disabled people desreved it from a past life experience - that is an easy judgement for me.

His idea of tactics is all out attack and nothing in defence.

I didn't think I'd find myself arguing Hoddle's corner, but alas we have more than one cheek in life. My only greivance was his betrayal of LeTissier and then he snatched Bobby, but in his defence Hoddle did have the faith in Bobby and did take the risk. Where is Bobby now at Tottenham without Hoddle?

It is true that he made the England team play better than many of his predecessors. If you're honest they played better than with Venables. I'd never seen England play like they did until of course the infamous Beckham incident with Argentina, but I really thoght until then we can do this. It is also true for Brighton that there are worse choices as manager than Hoddle. He did a great job with Swindon. Similar to Kevin Keegan he may be better in the league as a manager than at any other level.

I'm keeping an open mind on Hoddle, admittedly only since yesterday, perhaps a little to open for some.

Being a fellow believer in Karma I am pretty sure that is not what he said. Have you never heard of tabloid journos not letting the truth get in the way of a good story?

As for Hoddle the manager (what the thread's about), I'm not sure. He had pretty impressive records at Swindon, Chelsea and England but then there are all these stories of what a nasty person he can be.

f*** it, I wouldn't mind at all if he was appointed our next boss.

HODDLE FOR BRIGHTON MANAGER.

Not for me and if he didn't say it why did he resign from being England manager ?

He has a terrible reputation, people left Spurs and then complained that he treated them like children. Even if he did get the job here the likes of Cullip and Oatway would not let this happen. No thanks Glenn, we don't need you here.

Is it really key why, say, our next manager resigned from being an international manager or if he is a nice person? If Sven resigned would than make him ineligible to be our manager? What about not so nice Alex Ferguson? If he applied would we say no because he's not a nice guy?

He was pushed because of his extreme views - simple as that.

And also he has appalling man-management skills. If he had his way David Beckham for one would not have played for England.
