It’s not even really a debate.
The dictionary spells it as ‘aitch’ and that is that.

I correct my children every single time they get it wrong. They think I’m tremendous fun as a dad. :D

The dictionary also spells Pass without an R in it.

Alf Ramsey took h-elocution lessons when he was younger. His marvellous response, as a co-commentator, during the 1974 World Cup to an incident involving a floodlight failure was a classic. When asked for comments (about the game) he totally misunderstood and referred to the lack of light with “Haym not a h-electrician”. Well done Sir H-Alf! :cheers:
